Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but you don't need to have everything figured out before your first session. We'll spend time getting to know one another, talking about what brings you to therapy, discussing your goals, and creating a plan that feels right for you. My hope is that you'll leave your first appointment feeling heard, supported, and encouraged.
-
Most therapy sessions last approximately 50 minutes. Occasionally, longer sessions may be recommended depending on your needs and treatment goals.
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people process traumatic or distressing experiences. Rather than simply talking about the past, EMDR helps your brain reprocess difficult memories so they become less emotionally overwhelming over time.

Finding the right therapist is an important part of the healing process. I encourage you to reach out with any questions before scheduling if it would help you feel more comfortable. My goal is to provide a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel supported and understood.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be subject to a cancellation fee. If you have questions about scheduling or cancellations, please don't hesitate to ask.
-
Yes. Your privacy is extremely important to me. Therapy sessions are confidential except in a few situations required by law and professional ethics. We'll review confidentiality and answer any questions during your first appointment.
